Creative Self Care & Connection Through Art

Sketchy Sisters is a social art group for women who value sisterhood and self care. We’re all about connection and self expression through art!  Art is very healing and empowering, a wonderful tool for good mental health and reducing stress.

The sessions include creative self care drawing and art exercises and art projects around the themes of self-care, self-love, empowerment, spirituality, sisterhood and connection.

Previous exercises and projects have included:
 

• Making self care zines

• Illustrated vision boards

• Empowering watercolour planets

• Drawing crystal grids

• Making gratitude cards

• Writing yourself love letters

• Illustrating & Lettering - Feminist Quotes

• Message to self lettering

• Drawing self care toolkits

We use lots of materials and learn skills such as watercolor painting, using acrylic paint pens, illustration, zine making, collage, using art markers and drawing with fine-liners.

Examples and guides are provided along with demos and 1-2-1 help.

Everyone has the opportunity to share their artwork and offer their thoughts, this group is very supportive and is a judgement free safe space. You can of course choose to keep your work to yourself also.

No drawing experience needed just a desire to connect with others and feel the benefits of creative self care in a fun and friendly safe space.

Cost: £20 for an in person 2 hour session (includes all art materials, wine & cake!)
